Dear Alma, thank you for watching and for appreciation. GDS is Global Distribution System, this is an application provided by Galileo, Amadeus, Sabre, Wordspan etc, on this software making air tickets is easier. Otherwise without this also you can do. Generally GDS companies they provide their application without any charges or by taking very nominal charges. If you don't want to take GDS then you can do air ticketing through online sites or you can do tie up with some big IATA Travel Company only for air ticketing. I hope this answers your question, if not then please do not hesitate in asking anything.

Very nice and informative video, but I have got a question on this topic. What if I simply book tickets online through an airline for costumers and sell them (setting up a business), would that be legal? And would I get problems with the Airline or IATA?
That is completely legal and you can charge your client service charges. Even then they would buy from you because very less no of people have confidence to do tickets on their own, particularly International Air Tickets. Why would IATA create problem, never, later on you can even apply for IATA Recognition after working like this for 2 years as per my knowledge. For better clarity go on IATA.org
