Travel Agency Scam and Update. I wanted to updates everyone on the agency being investigated for credit card fraud and also How I ensure that never happens when I book someones cruise.

This is probably why I do our own booking. I am quite capable to do this. However, if we ever go overseas for a cruise I would want to find some reputable such as yourself. Thanks for sharing!!
How does a travel agent get paid?

Don; Now all you need to do is get us all great discounts on the Alaskan cruise!
Even though the risk is small for errors or corruption, we still prefer to book directly with the cruise line. Any issues we have are always quickly resolved by calling their customer service department.
We use Costco Travel or AAA as our travel agents/booking agents. There is always some perk they offer and the pricing is good.

I was on Don's group cruise in April 2019, no problem with my payments getting sent and documented by Princess. Everything Don said is true in the vlog, good guy!
I've used the same travel agent for 25 years. She's like a family friend and has helped me out so many times!

How can I find out if I was scammed?
I have book my cruise through our local travel agent and they even bus you down to the ship and never had any problems. Only ever went down on our own one time

Scammers are everywhere, always book directly through the cruise line or a credible travel agency.

I sure would like to book a group cruise with your agency. We have gone on various cruises and have not had much fun not knowing anyone. Please, how do I get information on these cruises. We live in Florida

I just Googled that company, one of the first things that comes up is a Yelp review telling people to stay away. Good thing. Hopefully everyone does their research in advance.
I just book everything myself…the cruise, the airfare, excursions, transfers…..its just too easy to do it yourself….im no computer or travel genius, but its sooooo freaking easy…you get all the confirmations from the cruise line, saved to a file…..can a travel agent really save you that much money???especially if you don't "know" the travel agent or company…the fewer people that have your credit card data and information, the better….sorry Don..love your videos….but let me know the benefits or savings if I actually use you as my agent
I've cruised 8 times so far. I've always booked my own cruise through the cruiseline. What are the benefits of using a travel agent. I don't have any experience with them, am I missing out on something?

About 8 years ago I was contacted about a FANTASTIC deal on DCL. It was so good, I was sure it was a type or a scam. I called DCL directly and it was true. Word to the wise is if someone is offering something no one else is, call the cruise line directly. I hate that people like this gives reputable agents like yourself a bad name!

Don, thank you so much for this video! I am hoping to book a cruise for family for 2021 and now I know what to look out for when using an agent.
People feel the need to be dishonest because they want to steal money that is not theirs to steal. Some companies are actually honest but some are not. That sucks for the people who were duped.
Don I'm kinda of Disturbed right now after watching your video. We book with a travel agent and they did take our card number. But when checking with the cruise line. We are not able to make payments with them. The cruise line said we can only make payments through whom we booked with. So when we contacted the agency they confirm that we can only make our payments with them and for us to give them our credit card number for them to have on file to do so.
